San Jose, California October 2017 – San Jose based software company, Sun-Net Inc., announced that it has been awarded the contract for Sun-Net’s iTOA® software suite by Powerlink Queensland.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, Powerlink Queensland is an electricity transmission system operator delivering electricity to almost 4 million people across over 1,700 km transmission network and providing network connections for large-scale generators and major industrial customers. With an outdated in-house built system in place along with other gaps in managing capital projects, iTOA® will replace and streamline a well thought out process between different departments, systems and communication in one place.
Powerlink Queensland is part of the National Electricity Market (NEM) that is managed by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). iTOA® will support direct AEMO updates and act as the system of record.
Helen Hu, president of Sun-Net, added, “We’re excited to work with our first Australian client and implementing iTOA® within Powerlink to streamline their outage planning and communication process.”
